Suspected kidnappers make up with Professor Adegbehingbe who lectures at the College of Health Sciences, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology, OAU, on May 5 at about 9:15 pm
The professor was said to be coming from ile Ife when the horrible incident occurred.
According to the OAU Chief Security Officer (CSO), Babatunde Oyatokun, who confirmed his abduction. He said there was robbery attack on the road where other people were also attacked but was singled out and taken away.
He said
“Yes, I’m presently at Apomu. I have not been in Ife since yesterday. They were coming from Ibadan but (were) attacked in between Asejire and Apomu by armed robbers. While they attacked all the vehicles on the road at that time, he was singled out. They picked him and took him away,”
The issue was said to have been reported and investigation is ongoing by the police.
