Nollywood actress, Kudirat Ogunro, says she will allow her husband to have a girlfriend after their marriage in order to have a settled home.

Ogunro on Friday in Abuja said that men are, by nature, polygamous.

She advised women to stop deceiving themselves by trying to wholly own their husbands.

“I’m not a jealous lover. In fact, when I get married, my husband has to have a girlfriend.

“That’s how my home can be settled and peaceful instead of him telling me ‘it’s only you baby’. No, I don’t believe in those words. I’m very serious.

“Men are polygamous by nature; so don’t let us fool ourselves,” the actress said.

Seven family members including a husband and his wife, have been found dead in Elele town in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The family lived in an estate known as Too Much Money, in  Elele Town.

The spokesman for the state police command, Nnamdi Omoni, told journalists that preliminary investigation showed that the family died as a result of smoke from their generator.

He said the investigation was ongoing.

He said the victims’ remains had been deposited at a mortuary for further investigation.

One of the neighbours, who confirmed the incident to reporters yesterday, said they woke up early hours yesterday and noticed that the victims’ house was still under lock and key. He said they forced the main door to the one-bedroom apartment open.

Unknown gunmen reportedly ambush zamfara market on Thursday 19th of July 2018. This was made known in a statement released by The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Zamfara command, SP. Muhammad Shehu.

He said the police couldn't engage in battle with the gunmen to avoid the loss of more life. He also made it known that 2 persons were shot dead while 3 were injured.

“There were sporadic gun shots by
unknown gunmen at the market; we
recorded the death of two persons while
three others were injured.

“During the attack, the police team at the
market could not exchange fire with the
attackers to avoid further loss of lives
and property.

“However, the attackers used the crowd
as human shield to escape from the scene.

Normalcy has been restored with patrol
teams keeping vigilance in the affected
environs.

“Investigation has commenced with a
view to fishing out and arresting the
perpetrators of the attack,” he said.

The unit commander of the FRSC, Mr Fatai Bakare reveal the reasons while speaking with the newsmen. Amonf y he reasons given was, the reckless driving of drivers against the traffics and overloading of vehicles.

He said "Driving against traffic is a major cause of accidents on that route and many motorists drive against traffic.

“Badagry is a border area, so there is high vehicular movement in the axis. Many of them tend to drive recklessly and this causes accidents in the area.

“Overloading is another frequent traffic
offence, but the command carries out various enlightenment programmes to advise the public on the need to desist from such practices.

“Our offcials are always located at strategic places to check and correct traffic offfender so as to limit all forms of traffic violations,’’ 

Senator Babajide Omoworare, has said he will not be taking part in the Osun primary election which is holding today Friday 20th of July 2018.

This is contained in a statement issued by his director communication Comrade Tunde Dairo.

Among the reasons given for the withdrawal was to ensure coherence in the party and to  guarantee victory in the September 22nd gubernatorial poll

The statement thus reads, "to all our Local and Ward Field Officers. In view of obvious political realities which are beyond our control, Senator Babajide Omoworare will not present his Ward
Agents, mobilise his supporters or deploy resources for the APC Governorship Primary election of July 20th, 2018. "This development is with the ultimate view of ensuring party cohesion and for All Progressives Congress to secure victory at the September 2nd Governorship election in the State."
